USA Hockey Annual Congress Meeting

USA Hockey Inline

Hello,

Wanted to share with all of you that I just got back from the USA Hockey Annual Congress Meeting in Colorado Springs.  2 times per year 500 members and volunteers from all over the U.S. representing USA Hockey Councils, USA Hockey Committees, and USA Hockey Sections get together working on ways to continually improve the sport of which we all love.  While I have been attending these meetings for nearly 7 years now, the productivity of this past weekends meeting was amazing.  Some of the main topics included Learn To Play Hockey programs, Insurance, Dedicated staffing, Assistance with marketing and promotions, Additional coverage of inline hockey in the USA Hockey magazine, and continued education for coaching and referees. Perhaps the most important meeting was about GROWING OUR SPORT followed by RETAINING PLAYERS.

With your help, Central Carolina Hockey would like to take a more aggressive approach to some of these main topics.  If you have interest in getting involved or simply would like to provide input or ideas at this time, please stop me at the rink, email me, or give me a call at the CCH office.

Thank you,
Jake Planco
